Davey Hamilton will be back on the same Texas Motor Speedway where nearly nine years ago, late in a race he was involved in an accident that nearly threatened his ability to walk.

Davey Hamilton will return to the 1.5-mile oval this Friday and he will be joined by Scott Dixon (Ganassi) in preparation for the Indianapolis 500 on May 30 and the Firestone 550k at Texas Motor Speedway six days later.

"I'm feeling a little anxious I guess," said Hamilton, who will drive car fielded by Luczo Dragon Racing/de Ferran Motorsports in partnership with Kingdom Racing in three IZOD IndyCar Series races this season.

"The track didn't cause my accident. It could have happened anywhere. I may be nervous the first couple of laps, but then it will be back to business and off we go."

Hamilton will seek a starting spot in the Indianapolis 500 for the 10th time. Raphael Matos, driver of the No. 2 HP Luczo Dragon entry, will be his teammate.
