Chip Ganssi's Scott Dixon has almost sealed the IRL championship by winning the Meijer Indy 300 at the Kentucky Speedway last night with only three races remaining and now leading by more than 78 points.

It was Dixon's sixth victory of the season and he earned this one as leader.

Helio Castroneves lost fuel pressure in the final turn, ending his gamble to try to steal the race from far off the pace.

Marco Andretti finished third while another contender all through the race, Vitor Meira, came in fourth place.

Scott Dixon's teammate, Dan Wheldon, completed the Top 5 finishers.
