Results of qualifying Sunday for the 2010 Indianapolis 500 IZOD IndyCar Series event on the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The three Penske cars and the two Ganassi entries are qualified in the top 6. Only Alex Tagliani from the FAZZT Racing team split them.
Three of the five ladies entered will take the start together. Ana Beatriz, Simona De Silvestro and Danica Patrick will start 21st, 22nd and 23rd respectively.
The crowd booed Danica Patrick when she declared after her qualifying run: “It’s not my fault. The car is no good”.
Another major surprise was to see veteran Paul Tracy failing to qualify. Tracy, who tried to go for another qualifying run with just 10 minutes to go, said he got caught by the warm temperature that upset the handling of his KV Technology car.
