After teaming up with KV Racing Technology for the IZOD IndyCar Series’ 2010 season, Lotus Motorsport has announced that it will expand its collaboration with the team next year.
Also, the company will design bodywork for the new-for-2012 next generation IndyCar Series rules.
This partnership saw former F1 driver Takuma Sato running a classic green Lotus livery on his Dallara IndyCar as the deal will see Lotus back at least two of the team's cars in 2011.
Under the 2012 IndyCar regulations, constructors are being invited to design bodywork packages to run on a Dallara-designed central cell.
