Canadian Paul Tracy hopes of being on the starting grid for the 2008 IndyCar season's opener at Homestead at the end of the month is at a lowest point at the present time.
The last race Tracy will get a chance to compete in is the Champ Car last race that will take place in Long Beach next month.
Tracy says he approached a potential sponsor on behalf of Forsythe in the hopes of getting him back on track in 2008.
"I sent them the details of the proposal, but I didn't get a response for three weeks," Tracy tells the Toronto Star.
"Finally I phoned Neil (Micklewright) and he told me Gerry wasn't interested."
