The IndyCar series will be back in action this weekend for the Roadrunner Turbo Indy 300 that will be run on the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway oval. It will be the first race where both Indycar and former Champ Car drivers will be back together after last weekend doubleheader between Motegi, in Japan, and Long Beach in California.

In seven races held at Kansas Speedway, seven different drivers have taken the chequered flag. Of the previous winners still in the IRL today, who of Buddy Rice (winner in 2004), Tony Kanaan (2005) or Dan Wheldon (2007) will become the first driver to repeat at Kansas Speedway?

Series leader, Penske driver Helio Castroneves leads all IndyCar Series drivers with 23 career pole starts, but his best start at Kansas Speedway is third last year. Castroneves is also the only driver to finish in the top five in all three Indy Racing League-sanctioned races this season.

For this weekend's race, tire supplier Firestone will introduce a new left-side compound for superspeedways, which will be used this weekend at Kansas Speedway. It's designed to provide more grip.

Race will be held this Sunday, April 27th.
