IRL: Will Power makes successful comeback

Five months after suffering a broken back, Australian driver Will Power was back in the cockpit of a Dallara-Honda Indy car as he made a successful return in a private test at Sebring earlier this week.

The Australian was involved in an big accident when he collided violently into Nelson Philippe's stranded car during practice of the Sears Point IndyCar event last August.

The 29-year old has nonetheless earned a full-time drive with Penske Racing for 2010 and the private session at Sebring marked his return to the cockpit following his recovery.

Last season, Power was initially signed by Penske to replace Helio Castroneves who was in court on tax evasion charges.

Following the return of the Brazilian, Power was kept on for a part-time programme with Penske and captured his first IndyCar Series win at Edmonton.
