The Paris show seems promising for Porsche: other than the Cayenne S Transsyberia, the manufacturer will be presenting no less than three other versions of its popular models. First off, the 911 will finally be available in its new Targa digs with moonroof; the glass surface will take up a whopping 16.5 square feet and retract in just 7 seconds.
The Boxter S will strut its stuff in the Porsche Design Edition 2 trappings, and the Cayman S Sport is also brand-new. Both are powered by the powerful 6-cylinder, 3.4-litre mill producing 303 hp. The Cayman features an active suspension that lowers the car by 0.4 inches as well as 19-inch wheels.
These new cars are the embodiment of "limited edition". Only 500 units of this Boxter S will be produced worldwide, and only draped in Carrera white. A meagre 50 units will make their way over here.
Not to be outdone, the Cayman S Sport will be limited to 700 units, available in several colours however. About 100 of them will make it to the North American market.
