Jaguar Land Rover is launching a brand new Special Operations division that will produce high-performance cars in very limited numbers, as well as bespoke commissions and collector editions.

Based in England's West Midlands, the firm will employ 150 people including Paul Newsome, who used to work for an advanced engineering unit at the Williams Formula One team and recently headed the Jaguar C-X75 project.

Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations intends to give cars from Mercedes-Benz AMG and BMW's M division a serious run for their money.
