Various reports indicate that Jaguar is considering a pair of all-electric vehicles, including a sedan and an SUV, in a medium-term bid to rival Tesla cars.
According to Automobile magazine, per Green Car Reports, the company has even cancelled two sports car projects to focus on the development of zero-emissions models.
One of them, internally known as X590, is a coupe-style, 4-door car with dimensions similar to the current XJ. Jaguar reportedly plans to build 20,000-30,000 units a year.
The future electric SUV would see a production of 30,000-50,000 units, if all goes according to plan.
