Norman says that the team that created the Jeep T J Unlimited was ''careful to protect the legendary 4x4 capability that Jeep T J owners want and expect. Even with the additional wheelbase length and increase in rear overhang, the Jeep T J Unlimited was designed to maintain the 20-degree breakover angle minimum guideline for off-road driving.''
Also standard on the T J Unlimited is the Jeep command-track 4x4 system with heavy-duty Dana axles, 30-inch tall R15 Goodyear Wrangler GSA tires, 15-inch aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, high-pressure gas-charged shock absorbers, 3.73 axle ratio, and underbody skid plates.
Other standard equipment includes full-steel doors with roll-up windows, tip and slide front seats, fold and tumble rear seat, padded Sport Bar, stereo AM/FM/CD, front air bags, power steering, engine block heater and the Sentry Key security system.
Optional equipment for the Unlimited includes body-side side steps, air conditioning, auto-dimming rearview mirror with courtesy lamps plus a compass and temperature display, locking fuel cap, seven speaker stereo with subwoofers, leather-wrapped steering wheel with speed control, fog lamps and tow hooks.
The TJ Unlimited should be available at Jeep dealerships now.
