There are signs that the economic downturn is still very much present in the motorsports world as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) organisation has announced that a number of people are to leave their roles in an effort to reduce costs.
Following the lay-offs of more than 15 employees recently, the IMS confirmed that another ten people were to leave their roles late last week
The cuts have been linked directly to the 'tough global economy as well as the fact that Indianapolis has been hit by lower than expected revenue from NASCAR's Brickyard 400 and MotoGP's second visit to the venue.
