Young karting driver Nyck De Vries from the Netherlands will now follow the foot steps of Lewis Hamilton as he is a member of the McLaren family.
Italian motorsport web site italiaracing.net says today that although De Vries was apparently linked to the prestigious Scuderia Ferrari, the 14-year-old has been signed by team McLaren.
De Vries will be supported and coached by McLaren, the same way Lewis Hamilton was when he started his career.
The objective is to take de Vries to Formula 1 in a not-so-distant future.
