Having experienced great success at its Land Rover Experience Driving Schools, one that takes place in and around the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello, an architecturally spectacular resort on AutoRoute 148 between Ottawa/Gatineau and Montreal Quebec, and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, the British brand will open a third school at Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley, California in August 2005.

Land Rover will offer participants professional off-road instruction so that they'll become more confident behind the wheel of their LR3s, Range Rover Sports and Range Rovers. Those with more experience will be offered advanced off-road courses, while those just starting out will be able to learn the basics.
While the terrain at each location varies, all attendees will be taught proper off-road driving techniques such as ascents, descents, rock crawling, winching and vehicle recovery, plus they'll be instructed in the non-profit Tread Lightly program, which has become a global standard to promote environmental conscious behaviour among 4x4 enthusiasts.
