The Automobile Club de l’Ouest revealed the name of the teams invited to take part to this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
No big surprise in LMP1, excepted a poor number of entries (eight cars) considering the previous seasons. Audi will run three prototypes : two Hybrid R18, and one R18 ultra diesel. Toyota will run two TS030 hybride.
The field is richer in LMP2 with 22 cars at the start. Among the entries, two workds Lotus T128, and an Oreca 03 ran by Sébastien Loeb Racing, the team of the multiple rally champion making its débuts at Le Mans.
High quality among the entrants in GTE Pro, with no less than four works teams with three Ferrari F458 (including three cars from semi-official team AF Corse), two works Aston Martin Vantage, two works Corvette C6.R and two works Viper
The GTE Am will feature 14 cars, with brand such as Ferrari, Corvette, Porsche and Aston Martin. Team Dempsey Racing Proton will run a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
The ACO had to choose among 77 entry requests this year. The new technologies will be represented by the Green GT H2.
