Thanks to a deal that Hyundai Auto Canada cut with a credit-offering company called FinanciaLinx, anyone who wants to lease a new car from the importer of Korean vehicles can do that in a matter of moments.
Rick Perkins, who is vice-president of corporate communications for the Newcourt Credit Group subsidiary, says Hyundai dealers can now send a few bits of simple information (like name and address) of a potential customer onto the Internet and find out in less than two minutes if he or she qualifies for a Hyundai Financial Services lease.
Perkins says the leases his firm offers are competitive and that the Internet-based service is also available at some dealers selling other models, but that Hyundai is the first brand to use it across the board. Currently, all but three of Hyundai Auto Canada's dealers are using the leasing service.
Hyundai Auto Canada's vice-president of sales, marketing, parts and service, Steve Kelleher, thinks this speedy approval process will appeal to his company's potential customers. "With the creation of Hyundai Financial Services," he says, "our customers will be able to access a wide range of financing options and with the industry-leading Internet-based system our dealers can now offer Hyundai customers the fastest credit approval process for automobile financing in Canada. Without a doubt, this gives us a leg up on the competition."
