Nicolas Hamilton, the younger brother of former F1 World Champion and McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton had a big crash when testing his car for the British Renault Clio Cup race at Thruxton, Great Britain.
Autosport.com reports that Hamilton “lost control at Goodwood corner in first practice at the high-speed British venue today and went off.”
The disabled young driver was fortunately uninjured in the accident. But his car was severely damaged.
“But his Clio is unlikely to be repaired in time for tomorrow's qualifying session and pair of races,” write Autosport.com.
Ironically, the 19-year-old drives for team “Total Control Racing”…
After two races so far this season in the Clio Cup, Hamilton lies in 15th place in the point standings.
