Lexus has announced details of an update to their lineup of GS-Series luxury performance cars. Available in four models, the GS models offer more design touches, more power and a price repositioning to make them even more appealing to Canadian buyers. There's a new V8 engine for the lineup, too.
"Lexus of Canada has enhanced the entire GS line - including the GS 450h hybrid model - with new standard features and specifications, and even more attractive suggested retail pricing," explained Yves Gionet, Director of Lexus Canada.
Available as the Lexus GS350, GS350 AWD, GS460 and GS450h, each model includes standard features like a premium audio system, Bluetooth capability, automatic climate control, side window defoggers and push-button engine start.
In addition to the 3.5 litre, 303 horsepower V6 and sophisticated hybrid powerplant in the GS450h model, the V8-powered GS430 has now become the GS460- giving buyers an optional new engine to fire up. The 4.6 litre V8 cranks out 342 horsepower, making it the ultimate high-performance GS. Last year's 4.3 litre V8 made less horsepower than the V6 engine- leaving the hybrid model as the quickest and most powerful, at 339 horsepower.
Lexus is proudly offering more for less too, with pricing reduced by $4,200 on the basic model, and $5,800 on the award-winning hybrid.
