Collector Car Productions will host a classic car auction at the International Centre in Toronto from April 8 to 10, 2011. Among the prized items up for bid will be a rare 1966 Shelby GT350 sold in Windsor 45 years ago.
Still housing its original 'K code' 289 engine with 306 horsepower, this fully-restored Wimbledon White Shelby came with the rare factory-ordered Guardsman Blue Lemans stripes and automatic transmission. It also has the very desirable override traction bars and many other carry-over performance components from the 1965 model.
Moreover, the muscle car boasts 10-spoke aluminum wheels and a fold-down rear seat. As with all '66 Shelbys, it also features rear quarter windows, a dash-mounted, 9,000-rpm Cobra tach, racing-style lap belts and rear air scoops.
This GT350 model, pampered by its last owner from 1972 to 2011, is listed in the Shelby Registry.
