Mazda Canada recently sold its two-millionth vehicle in Canada, a feat that was achieved at Albi le Géant Mazda in Mascouche, Quebec.

The milestone vehicle sold was a 2016 Mazda3, which is Mazda Canada's best-selling model with over half a million sold across the country since 2003.

The Japanese automaker initially entered the Canadian market in 1968 with less than a thousand sales in their first year. To reach one million sales took Mazda Canada 34 years, happening in September 2002. That means the second million took less than half that time ― impressive.

With the current success of Mazda's SKYACTIV technology and KODO design language, the third million will likely take even fewer years.
