The recently-unveiled C-Class Benz has already received the graces of Mercedes' AMG division. This means that the company's newest car will get some gobs of power in the form of AMG's 6.2L V8.

Pumping out a jaw-dropping 457-hp, the C63 will do some serious damage to the RS4 and M3's egos when it rockets by them in the 0-100 km/h sprint; both the Audi and BMW complete the sprint in 4.8 seconds while the Mercedes does it in 0.3 seconds less. The secret lies in the V8's massive 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque and the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with throttle blipping function.

Among changes done to the C-Class, the front track has been widened by 35 mm, the brakes have been substantially upsized, and features a new 3-stage Electronic Stability Program as well as significantly upgraded interior and exterior trim.

The C63 AMG is expected to hit the market in early 2008.
