It’s called the A45 AMG, it has a 4-cylinder 2.0L turbocharged engine and 350 horsepower.
“It will be the most powerful engine in its class,” AMG chief Ola Källenius said.
The A45 AMG will be an BMW M135i and Audi RS3 rival.
Furthermore, it will come only with all-wheel drive system, biased to the rear when turned off; and feature a 7-speed double-clutch gearbox borrowed to the normal A-Class, only better.
Top speed will be electronically limited to 249 km/h, but AMG is expected to offer bumping it up to 280.
No price or launch date have been announced so far.
