Gillett Evernham Motorsports has made it official, Mike Shiplett will be Patrick Carpentier's crew chief and team director for the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup series.
Patrick will drive the No 10 Valvoline Evernham Racing Dodge.
Shiplett moved from the former Busch (now Nationwide) series to the Sprint series when he joined the no 10 Cup team for the two last races of 2007.
Earlier, Shiplett had led driver Kasey Kahne to two Busch victories during the season.
