As early as this coming April, Canadian lovers of small British car will be able to get their hands on the refreshed 2019 editions of the MINI 3 Door, 5 Door and Convertible. No prices have been announced as of yet, but we do know that the models will benefit from design updates and other improvements.
The headlights have been modernized to give the cars more character; the available LED lights in particular offer much brighter lighting. All three models will sport the new MINI logo at various places, feature new designs for the light alloy wheels, come in new exterior paint colours (Emerald Grey metallic, Starlight Blue metallic, and Solaris Orange metallic), with available piano black exterior finishes (instead of chrome), rear LED lights incorporating the British Union Jack, a wider range of leather and new-colour interior trims, and a standard 6.5-inch multimedia screen display with an updated interface.
Buyers can also add a system that projects the MINI logo on the ground via the driver sideview mirror, navigation and infotainment systems with 8.8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging and the MINI Connected services, the new functionalities of which include advanced real-time traffic info via 4G LTE connection, Apple CarPlay integration and intelligent emergency call.
Of great interest to many MINI lovers is the larger range of customization options via MINI Your Customized (availability date still to be confirmed). Using a special online tool, users can design their own accessories, such as door sill panels, decorative strips and LED projectors, as well as patterns or inscriptions they want to add to their car.
No mechanical changes are being made for the 2019 editions of the MINI 3 Door, MINI 5 Door and MINI Convertible, however.
