A British woman recently experienced something incredible when over 20,000 bees swarmed her Mitsubishi Outlander.

According to London’s The Telegraph, the whole ordeal lasted 48 hours. Three beekeepers, a national park ranger, and members of the public eventually captured the swarm inside a cardboard box.

Why were the bees so attracted to Carol Howarth’s Outlander? Was it because of the sleek exterior design? Sadly, no. As it turned out, their queen was trapped inside the trunk. When it finally managed to exit the vehicle, the bees followed and everyone breathed a big sigh of relief.

"Apparently bees can swarm at this time of the year and it is a very strong instinct for them to follow the queen," Howarth said after her good scare.
