Dual-channel, wireless, infrared headphones have been added and they allow passengers the flexibility to choose between the video player or stereo system with the simple flip of a switch on the headphones, while the driver could listen to a third broadcast through the vehicle's sound system.
As for that new look for 2001, there'll be different front fascias and grille treatments, which Schaafsma says will "further differentiate the three minivan brands and increase appeal to each unique customer base."
A new rear parking aid also adds a level of safety when backing up by visibly and audibly alerting the driver to objects in the path of the vehicle, and all three minivans will be getting power-operated sliding left-side door. GM thinks it will have a hit with the Versatrak system.

In 2002, GM minivans will come equipped with Versatrak, says Jeanne Merchant, the assistant vehicle line executive for minivans, because "it's positioned to be the only minivan manufacturer capable of delivering the safety of an AWD system with the convenience of a reconfigurable third row seat requested by minivan customers."
