Morgan today unveiled its new AR Plus 4 at the Silverstone Classic. Production will be limited to just 50 units selling at £54,995 apiece (approx. $111,000).
The British automaker is enjoying a great year so far after presenting the new Aero 8 at the Geneva Motor Show and the all-electric Three Wheeler at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It had been three years since the last new Morgan was launched.
Equipped with a 2.0L Cosworth engine producing 225 horsepower, the AR Plus 4 features a new suspension, adjustable shocks, new brakes, and a redesigned chassis. Each unit is configured by a racing technician at AR Motorsport to ensure optimum performance both on the road and the track. What’s more, several aluminum components help reduce the weight of the car while increasing rigidity.
A stripped-down, yet functional cockpit
The new Morgan AR Plus 4 boasts a minimalist cockpit highlighted by ash tree, aluminum, and leather accents. There are no touchscreens or other gadgets typically found in modern cars, making it a real throwback. The instrument cluster is new, and a 4.1 audio system is available.
Customers can specify LED headlights, electric power steering, red brake callipers, and black or silver wheels. Consider yourself extremely fortunate if you happen to just come across one of these babies.
