Reigning MotoGP Champion, Australian Casey Stoner topped the time charts today at the Motegi circuit ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix of MotoGP.

Even tough Repsol Honda rider Nicky Hayden was the fastest in the morning session, because of the damp conditions Casey's time was faster by over 9 seconds in the afternoon.

Nicky Hayden's teammate, Dani Pedrosa was the second fastest just in front of current series' leader Valentino Rossi (Yamaha).

Andrea Dovizioso (Honda) finished fourth ahead of Loris Capirossi (Suzuki), who like Pedrosa, made a big improvement over first practice, with Sylvain Guintoli (Ducati) and Nicky Hayden in sixth and seventh.
