Ducati's Casey Stoner took his sixth straight pole position of the season and he has done it under terrible conditions as Brno was under heavy rain for the Czech Grand Prix.

Fiat Yamaha's Valentino Rossi came in a distant second more than 1.2 seconds behind the Australian with a time set in the first part of the session. Latter attempts were vain since the grip conditions were deteriorating fast.

John Hopkins was third on his Kawasaki bike in front of Rizla Suzuki's Chris Vermeulen. Gresini Honda's Alex de Angelis completed the Top 5.

Dani Pedrosa was the fastest amongst all the Michelin drivers with the 11th spot while Rossi's teammate Jorge Lorenzo finished at the bottom of the time sheet.
