American Nicky Hayden will be allowed to drive the latest Honda V4 2008 at the next MotoGP race in Jerez, Spain. It was revealed today March 12 that only Dani Pedrosa had the new Honda for the Qatar Grand Prix last weekend.
Former world champion Hayden rode the older Repsol Honda 2007 machine in Qatar; two generations back of his teammate's and finished in a distant 10th position.
Spaniard Pedrosa, who had fully recovered from his broken hand, finished third, but more then 10 seconds behind winner Casey Stoner.
