Loris Capirossi will go from two to four wheels next month as he is expected to take part in the Suzuki Tempest Rally on the Hampshire/Surrey borders.
The Italian MotoGP rider will be at the wheel of a Suzuki Swift "Sport Cup" car, joining the regular competitors for the last round of the season of the one-make rally series.
The rally includes 80km of gravel stages in the forests and Military training grounds around Aldershot.
"I am really looking forward to this as I have almost as much passion for cars as I do bikes," said the rider.
Rizla Suzuki team manager Paul Denning will also take part in the rally, competing against Capirossi in equal machinery.
