Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa has been informed by his doctors that he could miss next week's race in Laguna Seca if the hand injury he sustained in Germany requires surgery.
During the Sachsenring race in Germany yesterday, while leading under wet conditions, Pedrosa crashed and sustained several injuries to his left hand.
Pedrosa will have to get back to Spain to undergo further exams to determine if surgery is necessary but according to doctors who examine him that possibility is not an option anymore.
Another victim of the bad conditions that were prevailing in Germany is Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo who was relieved to sustain no injuries after crashing on lap three while running in sixth place after starting from the fifth spot on the grid.
