Track conditions were a lot different for the two practice sessions today at the Estoril circuit in preparation for the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix.

Riding conditions were difficult in the first session, mostly due to overnight rain, high winds and showers, but reigning champion Casey Stoner managed to complete his work on top.

Italian Valentino Rossi work hard but finished half a second behind Stoner. Rossi had a crash in the final corner but escape uninjured.

During the afternoon, the Estoril track completely dried up and it was Dani Pedrosa's turn to be the quickest driver of the session. Once again, Valentino Rossi ended up second fastest while Edwards was third on the Tech 3 Yamaha.
