Fiat Yamaha MotoGP ace Valentino Rossi was involved in a freak accident at his home when he tripped and fell into a glass table, seriously cutting the ring finger of his left hand and the sole of his left foot.
The 2008 MotoGP champion had to receive stitches at the hospital. Although his injuries are not serious it is not clear if they will make him uncomfortable when riding in this week's test in Malaysia.
Rossi will still fly out and will try to ride his bike when the official test begins on Thursday.
