Quebec race car driver Andrew Ranger, the reigning NASCAR Canadian Tire series' champion, will be making his debuts in the NASCAR Nationwide series this weekend during the NAPA Auto Parts 200 in Montreal.

Ranger and his manager Alan Labrosse struck a deal with Fitz Motorsports to drive the No 22 entry, the car that Patrick Carpentier drove to second place in last year's event.

It seems that NASCAR Canada has financially helped Labrosse to secure the deal, as they really wanted their reigning champion to compete in that event.

"The price was very reasonable," Labrosse pointed in an article published in the Journal de Montréal.
