The NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers are off once again this weekend. But the Nationwide guys are in action, this time on a road race circuit at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
Some 47 drivers will try to qualify for the 43-car field. Among them are two Canadians, Patrick Carpentier who will be driving the No 9 Gillett-Evernham Motorsport Dodge Charger, and D.J. Kennington who will be behind the wheel of the No 81 Dodge Charger.
Many road race specialists will be competing in that race, including local favourites such as Adrian Fernandez (No 5 Chevy for Rick Hendrick), Michel Jourdain Jr.(No 32 Camry), Jose Luiz Ramirez (No 84 Dodge), Antonio Perez (No 86 Dodge) and Alex Garcia (No 98 Chevy).
Scott Pruett will be driving the No 40 Ganassi Dodge. Obviously, Kyle Busch (No 20 Camry), Clint Bowyer (No2 Chevy) and Carl Edwards (No 60 Ford) are part of the entry list.
