NASCAR veteran and 2007 Nationwide champion Carl Edwards (Ford No 60) grabbed the pole at the newly repaved Darlington Raceway in South Carolina for tonight's Diamond Hill Plywood 200 race.
Clint Bowyer (Chevy No 2) will start second followed by Tony Stewart (Camry No 20).
Canadian driver D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 81) will start 33rd. Ironically, last week's winner at Richmond (and winner of the two past races here), Denny Hamlin (Camry No 18) scraped the wall attempting to qualify and damaged the car too badly to succeed. He will not be part of the race.
