Scotland's Dario Franchitti's return date to action in NASCAR is still uncertain pending checks he has undertaken on his ankle injury in Indianapolis.
The former Indy 500 winner suffered a fracture to his left ankle during an accident on Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, which sidelined him from the Sprint Cup event on Sunday.
Franchitti flew to Indianapolis where he visited an orthopedic surgeon, who will determine how long it will take for Franchitti to fully recover from his injury.
