Roush-Fenway driver Greg Biffle (Ford No 16) finally won his first race of the year at the New England Motor Speedway this Sunday afternoon and it happened to be the first of the last ten races of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship.

Though he was very strong all along, he finally passed Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) a few laps to the end. Johnson finished second while Biffle's teammate Carl Edwards (FordNo 99) came in third.

Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) had problems from the very beginning of the race and even got involved in an accident. He finished the race in 34th place.

Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10), started the race in 38th place (according to points since qualifying was cancelled because of rain) and ended up 31st. He was victim of a spin out late in the race.

Edwards and Johnson now both lead the Championship.
