Former Formula One champion Jacques Villeneuve (Braun racing) will be part of the first ever Nationwide Series race to be held at the famed Road America circuit this coming Saturday.
This race is part of the two-race deal that Villeneuve has with Braun Racing to drive its No.32 Toyota, the other event being the Nationwide race to be held on circuit Gilles Villeneuve this coming August.
Along with Villeneuve for the Bucyrus 200, will be fellow Canadians Ron Fellows (JR Motorsports) and J.R. Fitzpatrick (JR Motorsports).
For the former CART champion, it will also be a trip down memory lane as Road America was the scene of his ever first win in his haydays as one the top driver in the north american open wheel series.
Exceptionnaly, teams will be allowed to practice Thursday because the series is going for the first time to Road America, a 4.048-mile road course that replaced the Milwaukee Mile on the schedule.
