The driver of the No 24 Chevrolet, Jimmie Johnson scored victory Sunday in the second race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase held at Dover International Speedway’s Monster Mile.

Johnson dominated the race en route to a superb victory.

Early in the running of the AAA400, Joey Logano walked away unscathed after rolling his car seven times in a six-car accident.

Johnson crossed the line in first place, beating veteran Mark Martin behind the wheel of the No 5 Chevrolet. Martin, the winner of the previous race held in New Hampshire started the race in 14th place and sliced through the field to finish second.

Matt Kenseth also drove a fine race to finish third in the No 17 Ford.

Juan Pablo Montoya had a strong showing in Dover to arrive home in fourth place, beating Kurt Busch, Jeff Gordon (who lost several place during the bad pit stop), AJ Allmendinger, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman.

Mark Martin leads the Chase with 5400 points with Jimmie Johnson second with 4390 and Juan Pablo Montoya, third with 5335.
