In a last minute announcement John Andretti has a ride in the Daytona 500, also called the Great American Race.
He’ll drive a Ford Fusion with good credentials. "It's great to have John (Andretti) and Window World back at Front Row Motorsports," said Bob Jenkins, owner. "Last season Window World and John were a very big part of our success throughout the season. We're looking forward to giving them a strong No. 34 with Ford Fusion with factory support and Roush/Yates Engines."
Bob Jenkins, a restaurateur, is not related to Bill Jenkins, owner of Latitude Racing, which will, coincidentally also be entered at Daytona with a Ford Fusion.
Andretti, twice a winner at the high banked super speedway – in a Sprint Cup car in what’s now called the Coca Cola 400 (formerly the Firecracker 400) and the 24 Hour sports car race.
It will Andretti’s 15th Daytona 500. Last month he told NASCAR.com "The focus is to do some other races, but the second major focus after the Daytona 500 is the Indy 500, similar to the same program I did in 2008, kinda free bird."
The No. 34 Ford Fusion will feature Window World's foundation, Window World Cares, and its charitable beneficiary, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®.
