It should have been Juan Pablo Montoya's race (Chevy No 42) but instead, it became his nightmare when he was penalised for driving too fast in pit lane during the Allstate 400 run Sunday afternoon at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

At the end, Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) took the lead from pole sitter Mark Martin (Chevy No 5) who had inherited the lead to drive to the checkered flag first.

As for Montoya, after his penalty pass-through, he ended up eleventh though he had led 116 laps, more than ALL the laps he had led in his NASCAR career.

Tony Stewart (Chevy No 14) passed Greg Biffle (Ford No 16) at the very end of the race to finish third. Brian Vickers (Camry No 83) came in fifth.

One of the biggest losers of that race with very few yellow flag situations was Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) who hit the wall after a right front tire blew and finished 38th . That pushed him back in 14th place in the championship making his participation to the Chase for the Cup in jeopardy.

Stewart still leads the championship followed by Johnson, Gordon (Chevy No 24), Kurt Busch (Dodge No 2) and Carl Edwards (Ford No 99).

The next NASCAR Sprint Cup race will be held next Sunday afternoon at the Pocono Raceway.
