The very last NASCAR Sprint Cup race of the season, the Ford 400 to be run Sunday afternoon at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, seems to be promising a lot of action. Indeed, the first surprise was to see David Reutimann (Camry No 44) grabbing the pole Friday afternoon.
He was followed by Scott Speed (Camry No 83) and Matt Kenseth (Ford No 17). Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) who is second in points coming to this race will start fourth.
Point leader Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) could not do better than 30th but he only needs to finish 35th or better to become the 2008 Champion. Three drivers did not qualify, Ken Schrader (Camry No 96), Max Papis (Chevy No 13) and Sam Hornish (Dodge No 77).
