The crew of the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota driven by Brian Vickers won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pit Crew Challenge, beating the crew of the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Camry.
Vickers' crew were taking part in the event for only the second time after joining the series last year, beating their more experienced rivals with a time of 22.902 seconds, 0.109 seconds quicker than what the Gibbs crew took to complete a pit stop and push the car through the finish line.
Interestingly, specialists and former collegiate athletes rather than mechanics or team personnel working at the team's shop formed the winning Red Bull team, a new trend in NASCAR racing.
