The all-new 2016 Jaguar XF made a spectacular debut yesterday in the heart of London's business district by executing a dramatic high-wire crossing over the Canary Wharf. Driving the car on two 34mm cables was expert British stunt man Jim Dowdall, a veteran of Hollywood movies including Bond, Bourne, and Indiana Jones.
Set to make its auto show premiere in New York on April 1st, the Jaguar XF was redesigned to deliver better proportions, more interior space, and a coupe-like profile. In North America, look for two 3.0L supercharged V6 engines ranging from 340 to 380 horsepower and mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Canada will get the AWD variant only, while the diesel engine sold in Europe seems unlikely to make it across the Atlantic.
The interior of the 2016 Jaguar XF comes standard with the all-new InControl Touch infotainment system featuring an 8” touchscreen (an InControl Touch Pro system with 10.2” display, InControl Apps, and InControl Remote is optionally available).
