It combines the attributes of a coupe and a station wagon for a vehicle aimed specifically at the value minded Chinese consumer. Its German and Asian influenced design philosophy allows the best of both countries to come through in the execution of the car.

The Neeza is said to bring Chinese and German talent to the table in the new-generation international vehicle, and the concept opens the door to future possible machines from Shanghai Volkswagen.

The name is derived from a celebrated Chinese figure called Ne-Zha- a small boy with a strong will, youthful spirit and remarkable courage. The German carmaker says the name reflects well the idea behind the concept, which is characterized by its low stance and sweeping greenhouse line.

The Neeza takes to the stage at Auto China 2006 alongside the Magotan concept, which is a new premium sedan based on the Passat. Also making their Chinese debuts at the show are the Concept A, Eos, GTI and CrossPolo.
