The only transmission available will be a 4-speed automatic with three shift patterns -- E for economy, S for sport and W for winter.
Along with the chassis that was retuned for North America, Volvo has gone with an independent front suspension, using MacPherson struts, hydraulic shocks, a 19mm stabilizer bar, and asymmetrically mounted front springs. In the back, it's a multi-link suspension with a 13 mm stabilizer bar and coil springs.
