Suzuki unveils Concept Kazashi 3 in New York
Today is the world debut of Suzuki's new concept vehicle, the Kizashi 3. This third variation is closer to a production-spec model than the Kizashi, launched at the 2007 Frankfurt show, and the Kizashi 2, presented during the 2007 Tokyo show. In New York, all three models will grace Suzuki's show floor.
The original Kizashi is a luxury five-door sedan that features a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine, a 6-speed sequential gearbox, all-wheel drive and 21-inch wheels.
The Kizashi 2 is more of a 5-door crossover vehicle with higher ground clearance than the Kizashi. It's powered by a 3.6-liter V6 mated to a 6-speed automatic.
The Kizashi 3 is a mid-size sedan concept that hints at a larger sedan offering for the Japanese brand. It has all-wheel drive and is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that develops 300 hp, and the car rides on 21-inch wheels. A production version of the Kizashi 3 could appear pretty soon.
