Nissan will be the official car provider for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil. A fleet of 4,200 cars will be available throughout the Games, from August 5th to 21st.

A special ceremony took place inside the world-famous sambódromo, a Rio staple that will host archery competitions.

Hortência Marcari, a former basketball player who won silver at Atlanta 1996, accepted a symbolic key from the head of Nissan's Brazilian operations, François Dossa, on behalf of the athletes of Brazil.

The Nissan fleet will include the Kicks crossover (official Rio 2016 vehicle) and LEAF all-electric hatchback, but also the March, Versa, Sentra, Altima, and Frontier. They will shuttle athletes and other team representatives, as well as VIP guests, to and from their hotels and competition sites.

Good luck to all the athletes!
